InterTradeIreland’s Cross-Border Trade Mission Opens Doors for Irish Agri-Tech and Manufacturing Businesses
Twenty businesses from across Ireland have had the opportunity to strengthen cross-border connections and grow their business across the island on a two-day Cross-Border Trade Mission to Northern Ireland. This mission formed part of InterTradeIreland’s ‘Trade Mission @Home’ initiative, which aims to help businesses connect with key industry representatives and accelerate sales growth in the cross-border market.
The Agri-Tech and Agri-Manufacturing sectors play a key role in cross-border trade, with businesses benefiting from expanding opportunities across Northern Ireland and Ireland. InterTradeIreland supports hundreds of companies in these sectors to scale, innovate, and access new markets.
Anne-Marie McAteer, Trade Manager at InterTradeIreland, said:
The Agri-Tech and Manufacturing sectors are vital for the all-island economy, with innovation and sustainability at their core. Our ‘Trade Missions @Home’ initiative is designed to give businesses the platform, contacts and confidence to take their next steps into new markets. Cross-border trade and collaboration continues to be one of the most effective ways to scale and sustain growth.
Anne-Marie McAteer, InterTradeIreland, Trade Manager
The initiative provides up to five days of specialised mentoring and sales training to empower businesses to reach their full export potential. InterTradeIreland identifies and prospects a minimum of four sales opportunities for each business while offering coaching in cross-border sales techniques, ensuring sustainable growth.
The participating businesses in this Trade Mission were Alloy Tip from Carlow, PE Services from Cavan, Climeaction from Cork, HB Label Print, Herbst Software, and PrintGlaze from Dublin, Moonsyst from Kilkenny, M&Q Packaging from Limerick, Clarke Agri Engineering and Sealac from Mayo, Complete Composites from Meath, Tigercomb from Monaghan, Spillane Pre-cast Concrete from Tipperary, Better Plants from Westmeath, Livefarm from Wicklow, and five businesses from Galway, BeoBio, Heptagon Houses, IOT DigitalData, Megafab, and Red Belt.
Lisa Heavey, Director of HB Label Print, one of the businesses participating, said:
We took part in this Trade Mission because collaboration across the border is vital for manufacturing and agri-food businesses like ours. Northern Ireland has a strong and innovative production base, and this is a great opportunity to build new relationships, share technical know-how, and explore supply partnerships that strengthen both sides of the sector.
Lisa Heavey, HB Label Print, Director
This mission was a continuation of InterTradeIreland’s long track record of helping businesses across the island trade, collaborate, innovate, and attract investment. InterTradeIreland has supported over 60,000 businesses and contributed to over €1.95bn in business development value to date.
