What is Business Explorer?
We help SMEs tackle technical business challenges or develop new ideas in science, engineering, and technology through the Business Explorer programme. This initiative provides early-stage guidance and support by funding academic professionals or industry specialists to explore innovative solutions. We can then continue to fund these experts as they help you to implement their findings and nurture a culture of innovation within your business.

The Business Explorer programme can help you explore the best way forward within your business to effect change through Innovative solutions.
Business Explorer is part of InterTradeIreland’s Innovation Pathway offering funding to help businesses solve technical challenges by collaborating with academic or industry specialists. We offer businesses the opportunity to:
Explore – Investigate up to three technical challenges with £5k per application (up to £15k total) and 5 days of support per challenge.
Plan - Take two solutions forward with £20k per application (up to £40k total) and 18 days of support per plan.
Implement - Take one plan forward through Innovation Boost with funding of up to £56k to deliver the solution in your business.
