What is it?
The WeVenture suite of programmes offer supportive, structured guidance to help women researchers explore and grow the commercial potential of their work.
Through expert-led training, tailored mentoring, engaging masterclass series', workshops and one-to-ones, as well as having access to a welcoming community of peers and partners, participants will build the skills, confidence and tools to turn research ideas into real‑world ventures.
Whether you’re curious, just getting started, or already further along, WeVenture is here to support you at every step.
WeVenture is part of the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme, funded by the Government of Ireland and developed by InterTradeIreland, Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.

WeVenture Supports
The WeVenture suite of programmes offer you a unique opportunity to build entrepreneurial capability, develop ideas and advance to commercialisation if that is your chosen path. As a participant, you can apply to only one programme at a time, so it is important to choose the option that best matches your current needs and goals.
There are three different strands to the programme:
Capability Building
WeVenture: Capability Building is a flexible series of masterclasses that strengthen your skills, confidence, entrepreneurial mindset, and networks to enhance your innovation potential.
The programme is delivered across three themed masterclass series:
- Ideas and Opportunities – Applications now open
- Resources – Applications now open
- Into Action – Applications open September 2026
Places on the Capability Building series are offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis. There is no fixed order in which the masterclass series must be completed. Participants can join any series first and move on to others as they become available.
