Mark is a serial investor and entrepreneur, bringing velocity to early-stage, high-growth companies. He co-founded Trov, the world's first on-demand insurance platform (acquired by Travelers Insurance). He previously co-founded ServiceCloud (acquired by SFDC) and Band of Coders (MBO). He was Managing Director of Anthemis and a Limited Partner in Bullet Time Ventures, an early seed investor in Uber and Twilio.
In 2018, Mark was recognised with the award of Ambassador for Northern Ireland, and in 2021 received an honorary Doctorate of Science in Economics from Hillary Clinton, on behalf of QUB for his contribution to Northern Ireland. Mark was also the Chairman for Techstart Ventures, the leading investor of seed capital across Scotland and Northern Ireland. He is the co-founder of Ormeau Baths (Barclays Eagle Lab) and sits on the board of EY's Entrepreneur of the Year to support scaling companies in Ireland.
