I am a serial entrepreneur and business consultant of 25 years. An MBA graduate, I have worked with 100s of SME owner/mangers in NI, ROI and across Europe on tendering and bidding for public sector contracts. For me mentoring small businesses on bid management is about creating a successful bid and not just about managing a submission. As part of my mentoring approach, I also work closely at ensuring owner/managers learn how to write further successful bids in the future. I treat each project uniquely depending on the contracting authority, industry, value and experience of the bidding team. Over the years I have designed, delivered and mentored on extensive tender bidding initiatives for SMEs and ran an Institute of Leadership and Management Centre of Excellence offering awards to SMEs on tender bidding. I have also been the key advisor to central government and local authorities on their approach to tendering and how to be more inclusive of SMEs. I also wrote the report commissioned by the Federation of Small Businesses for the public enquiry into public procurement by the Committee for Finance and Personnel at Stormont. The report provided concrete recommendations to make public contracts more accessible to small business.

My enthusiasm and reputation for success has led to me to work with SMEs across Europe on tender bidding and across almost every industry the public sector spends money on from construction, engineering, PR, marketing, pharma, food etc. Every month I am assisting more businesses to improve their tender bidding success rate and as a result of my work businesses have successfully secured contracts from £5k to £10m as well as important listings on call off lists.

I am a registered consultant with InvestNI, InterTradeIreland and Local Authorities to provide specialist Tender Bid Mentoring and I currently have client businesses across the Island of Ireland and Europe.
