The Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement will meet today at 2:15pm in Committee Room 4, Leinster House.
Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Chair, Sean Crowe TD, said today, “Cross border work is vital to the all-island economy, particularly so in light of Brexit. The Committee is keen to hear from a cross-section of the North South Implementation Bodies tomorrow, in order to hear their views on how cooperation between government departments and other organisations can continue to be beneficial for the people of Ireland, North and South.”
“The economic implications of Brexit cannot be over-stated. The Committee looks forward to a productive and informative meeting tomorrow to discuss how to safe-guard North-South trade relations, as well as wider trade relationships between the North and other markets. ”
