InterTradeIreland was delighted to support University College Dublin and Queen’s University Belfast carry out an industry scoping exercise and economic assessment that would determine the potential for a precision oncology and associated digital health innovation cluster on the island through the Synergy programme.
The All-Island Oncology Industry Report was launched by Minister Conor Murphy, Department for the Economy NI, and Minister Dara Calleary, for Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment at the Innovate and Connect - All Island Oncology Industry Workshop.
The report is extremely timely, emphasising how innovation in oncology and allied digital health can be a catalyst for the creation of new high value jobs and investment opportunities to enhance economic development and societal prosperity across the island.
The report highlights that there are many pockets of collaboration already happening across the island. InterTradeIreland can assist and facilitate further collaboration via our Business Explorer programme, Innovation Boost Programme, Synergy programme as well as our Seedcorn Investment Readiness competition and Funding Advisory Workshops.
