On March 11th 2019 InterTradeIrelands All Island Innovation Programme in partnership with University College Cork hosted Professor John Bessant at UCCs world-class executive education centre at Lapps Quay, Cork.
The original innovation expert Professor John Bessant delivered a Lecture and Masterclass. The Lecture "The Innovation Imperative" addressed the fundamentals of innovation and how it can be managed strategically by organisations of all sizes, including SME's. The lecture introduced some of the key concepts and tools of innovation management that could help you map out a pathway for your organisation to succeed through innovation. The Masterclass session "How innovative is your organisation?", provided the opportunity for greater audience engagement and application to particular organisations.
Professor John Bessant has been active in research, teaching and consultancy in technology and innovation management for over 25 years and author of the leading textbook entitled "Managing Innovation". He currently holds the Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Exeter University and has acted as advisor to various national governments and to international bodies including the United Nations, The World Bank and the OECD.
