Bio-Based Industries Workshop June 2017
Horizon 2020 is of strategic importance to the Governments of Ireland and Northern Ireland so in recognition of the need to promote the Bio-Based Industries Public Private Partnership, InterTradeIreland, the Department of Agriculture, Environment & Rural Affairs Northern Ireland and the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine Ireland and University College Dublin partnered to hold an all-island networking and information event on the 2017 Call for Proposals from the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking.
This event took place in UCD, Dublin on the 6th June and attracted a capacity crowd of 85. The event was opened by Triona McCormack, Director of Research at UCD and Karen McCallion, newly appointed Science and Technology Manager at InterTradeIreland. This event included BBI case studies from Industry and Academia and speakers included The European Commission, the Biobased Industries Consortium, the BBI Scientific Committee and representatives from the IE & NI Horizon 2020 National Contact Points were also in attendance.

The audience at the event included researchers from academia and industry, large Industries & SMEs, representative organisations, technology providers and local authorities & local action groups and was hailed a great success.
