MosArt is an architectural practice providing national and international industry leading design, consultation and training in high performance buildings. The business provides consulting services to several leading multi-family apartment buildings in Ireland, UK and North America. They are organisers of the three World NZEB (Near Zero Energy Building) Forum events held in Ireland and are contracted to deliver NZEB training for WWETB (Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board) in Europe’s first dedicated contractor training facility

Project Description

The company proposal is to design and develop a wall mounted universal airtight and thermal bridge optimized access hatch for the maintenance of Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems. This innovative approach involves designing the hatch to be seamlessly integrated into the walls of high-performance buildings to allow for independent installing and replacement of air filters. The overall aim to develop a prototype and then take this through the various design and engineering stages to have a product ready for manufacturing. The company will therefore require knowledge transfer of material selection, product design, product testing and design for man.
