Project Description

Etra Feeders have identified the opportunity to produce a brand-new product for the pig farming sector. The company intends to specify, design and develop a new pig feeder which will improve weight gain in pigs by improving the feeding environment. Certain environments have been shown to increase pig consumption of feed which leads to better weight gain. The feeder will also allow the monitoring of feed consumption by pigs which will help improve yield data. The design of a suitable metering system and the improved pig feeding environment will allow Etra to have a unique offering to pig farmers.
