IIFA is Ireland’s National Representative Body for Irish Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers, those businesses which ensure that Cargo movies across International Borders in a compliant, safe and efficient manner. IIFA provides training in practical Customs Documentation completion and the IIFA FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. Customs training is delivered over 20 hours across three weeks and provides over 20 case study Customs Declarations for completion via student access to Thyme IT Customs Clearance software. An extensive training manual is also included in addition to access to on-demand academic webinars. The IIFA FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding is a 10 month programme with modules covering the international movement of cargo via Sea, Air and Road Freight, as well as background considerations such as Dangerous Goods, Customs and Insurance. This is an academic course with practical monthly assignments. Successful completion leads to the Internationally recognised FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding.
