Sean comes from a very strong practical background; growing up working on all kinds of motorbikes, cars and machinery. His early career was spent as an Electrical, Mechanical technician in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
In 2008 Sean returned to formal education, to study Mechanical Engineer, winning a scholarship and multiple awards along the way. Within a few years of graduation Sean progressed to a CTO level role, driving strategic business development and inventing 6, highly commercialised patents in the process.
Sean founded Forged Innovation in 2019 and commenced development of an advanced bioenergy system in 2020. During this period Sean also held the role of Operations Director in another business; driving significant growth, change and restructuring in-spite of the challenges of Covid and Brexit.
Forged Innovation’s bioenergy system has recently achieved a major milestone, in treating extremely challenging material, that no commercially viable system on the market can currently achieve. As a result Forged Innovation was selected by Innovate UK to join them on their stand at All-Energy & Dcarbonise in Glasgow on the 10-11 May, as one of the most promising start-ups in the Climate Tech space.
