I have been providing mentoring assistance to businesses for the last 25 years and have specialised in assisting business to tender for Government contacts now for the last 10 years. I was an approved mentor on the Go2Tender Programme (Phase 7). I am fully familiar with the NI & RoI tendering portals and can provide guidance in setting that up properly. My specialism is, however, on mentoring businesses that are seeking to improve their tendering approaches/tender procedures; and working on managing companies through live tendering opportunities (including Frameworks and PQQs) with considerable success. Accordingly, my specialisms are in the following mentoring areas:

• Review of companies tendering experience;
• Improving the presentation of existing company information (or prepare new background documents to be used in up and coming tender opportunities);
• Analysis of previous bids and identification of areas for improvement to increase businesses capacity to win tendering opportunities;
• Clearly identify the bids that the company has the capacity to competitively compete for AND those the company should not (i.e. bid/no bid decisions);
• Explain the strategy behind how to approach a tendering opportunity and what to look out for (and how to prepare a bid to meet the opportunities criteria);
• Actively involved in managing and controlling a live tendering opportunities for businesses with a high percentage of success.
• Providing clear advice and guidance (and undertake proofing) on live tender bids and make adjustments to bids to maximise chance of success.
• Discussing, challenging and agreeing bid strategy for companies.
• Supporting clients to sign up to e-tendering portals.
