Thomas Callaghan

Thomas Callaghan is a Wicklow-based product designer with a degree in Product Design and over five years’ experience. Currently at TU Dublin’s CreateLAB, he has worked in consultancy, self-employment, and with a sports brand. His expertise spans consumer goods, medical devices, and agriculture, with a strong focus on cycling and motorsport. Thomas also supports brand development, athlete management, and global marketing strategy alongside his product design work.

John Walsh

John is Head of School and Lecturer in Product Design at TU Dublin, with over 20 years’ experience in industry and academia. He founded TU Dublin CreateLAB, supporting innovation and IP creation. A Fellow and Past President of the Institute of Designers in Ireland, John has secured €800k+ in funding and leads Craft 4.0, a €300k Erasmus+ project exploring 3D printing’s role in enhancing the craft sector.
