Business Networks on the island of Ireland
This report presents for the first time a snapshot of the business networks and clusters on the Island of Ireland. It concludes that the incidence of networks and clusters is widespread and that significant numbers of companies are involved. The report identifies a total of 110 networks and clusters across the island - with participation drawn from close to 10,000 firms, 93 per cent of which are small or medium-sized enterprises. The report also identifies the key role that public sector agencies play in supporting the development of business networks and clusters, in both North and South.
