Go-2-Tender is an award winning InterTradeIreland programme that was developed to give SMEs the confidence, knowledge and practical skills to tender successfully for public sector contracts in their own jurisdiction and on a cross-border basis. The programme is geared towards SMEs who want to improve their tendering skills and to increase their success rates in public sector tenders.
The workshop is delivered over two consecutive half-day sessions via Zoom and addresses the different (and larger) opportunities that are accessible to SMEs through Collaboration in Tendering.
As Government continues to improve SME access to the public procurement markets, collaboration – the formation of joint ventures and consortia - is increasingly common as an approach to winning bids. Consortia can add great benefits to SMEs targeting new business in the public procurement market - such as:
- Opening up new sub-sectors of the public sector market.
- Targeting new geographic markets, new regions & jurisdictions.
- Helping to meet minimum / mandatory criteria.
- Adding new specialist skills and capabilities.
- Creating scale through combined capacity.
